Trevor E. Phillips, ASA, CRE, FRICS

Trevor Phillips has more than twenty-five years of real estate, construction and financial advisory experience counseling clients in the private and public sectors. His experience includes economic damage analysis for matters in litigation; real estate valuation; industry experience in civil engineering design and construction management in the United Kingdom and several Eastern Caribbean countries; and disaster recovery services, including business insurance and FEMA grant claims, for clients whose properties and operations are affected by accidents and natural disasters. Mr. Phillips has testified as a real estate damage expert at deposition and trial and has assisted clients at mediation proceedings.

Mr. Phillips specializes in real estate damage matters including disputes associated with sales, leases, land development and complex partnership agreements; construction defects; business insurance claims; and eminent domain matters. He has significant experience analyzing property value diminution claims in the context of environmental and toxic tort litigation. He has also developed and evaluated Value Assurance Programs; a proactive approach to resolving property value disputes.

Since 1999 Mr. Phillips has served the community as a Mayor-appointed volunteer member and former Chairman (2004-2006) of the City of Houston’s Land Redevelopment Committee (LRC). The LRC supports the City’s Brownfields Redevelopment Program through technical assistance, fund-raising and public education initiatives.
